March Events:

The Shala will be hosting two events this month.

First we will be continuing our monthly Shala 101 workshops.  Enabling the student to take a deeper dive (if you will) into the many facets of the yoga practice.  These will be given by various Shala teachers to help you deepen your practice.  Shala 101 will be held the third Saturday of the month.  Check the website for updates on future classes.

Shala 101

Pranayama Workshop

"Working with the Breath"

March 15th 11:00 – 1:00

The second of our Shala 101 workshops will concentrate on one of the eight limbs of Yoga, Pranayama (breathing exercises). For several thousand years, yogis have drawn on the powerful practice of pranayama to maximize prana, or life energy; to rejuvenate the body; and as a means of self-study and self-transformation. In this workshop the fundamentals of pranayama will be introduced and the student will be shown how to incorporate them into their existing yoga and meditation practice.

Workshop Prices:

$20 Regular Class Card Students/ $25 Non-Class Card Students

The second will be a special event to go along with the upcoming Global Mala in September.  If you missed our Global Mala 2007 celebration you don’t want to miss this one.

Schedule:

This month we thought we would try something new.  There will be no changes to the March schedule, in our short history that is a first.  So those white flyers with the hearts on them on the refrigerator are still good J.  But of course since it is March and Saint Patty’s day is coming we may print up some green ones.  So get in here!

Web page:

Looks for some updates to the website http://www.yogashalaid.com  We will be adding greater content through out the month of March that all should find insightful and awe inspiring.  Stay tuned.
